They just rolled out the new signs and crap here in Central for the "New" Lower prices and such, and I'm not exactly seeing a difference other than more crap in the aisles, more fake self praise and more unhappy employees, not to mention the god awful t-shirts. Oh, and the nail-on-chalkboard annoying jingles. So is this another "THIS.IS.HERE.TO.STAY" program like the rest? Kroger seems more and more listless and directionless, at least from my outsiders perspective. Their flavor of the month approach (remember Green Leadership? how long did that last?) is hurting the company because a) the employees don't believe in the change and b) the management has a hard time selling it. What say the masses?

this sounds exactly like the thing I mentioned back in February that they did here in the Cincinnati market but no one had a clue what I was talking about.

The T-Shirt program is winding down in my area. However we are allowed to wear them on the weekends, though it is optional. A lot of the folks at more store actually prefer the t-shirts because they breathe better than the polos. I'm not sure whether the signs will stay.. the only new signs I particularly have a problem with are the three part behemoths that choke up an already tight store. I did think the new signage brightened the place up a bit, and definitely looked nice, but I know some folks don't care one way or the other as far as enjoying the view.
Those shirts, mandatory here for the next three months.
Indeed drone, I feel that they are full of crap, and my managers cannot sell the crap because they see it for the nonsense it is but cannot directly say so.
We actually have produce and dairly blocked off with those moronic new floor signs. You cannot see the dept unless you are coming from behind them. Right in the door, nope. And there goes so much impulse sales attraction right there. Those three wide signs are like walls when placed wrong, or right according to the setup crew.

I know that my district manager I had when I worked for the company would have hated those signs because he couldn't see over them. This stuff is crazy.

We're still wearing the t-shirts here because of the remodel. Every other store in the Cincy division went back to the polos I think. I LOVE the t-shirts... they are much better than the crappy polos...
That said when they started showing New Lower Prices signs here... i noticed many of the prices were the same. lol
This whole lower price thing.. is a joke. I change tags over night and everything has shot up 35 cents to at least 1.50. Lower prices my butt. plus not doubling coupons anymore just make it worse.
