Applied to one store but training at another? WTF

I'm new and just received the days I will be training. 

But i applied to one store but they have me training at another Kroger that is 30 minutes away. 

Is this normal? Or are they trying to make me work for another store because if so I will have to turn down the job.  

Theres no reason I should have to drive 30 minutes away when the store I applied to is only 2 minutes away from my house:

Maybe the other store is a "training store" but just to be sure check with your hiring manager to be in the safe side

It's normal, especially if the store you're going to be working at is small.

It depends on the position. When I became a back up I trained at the store closes to our general office. If its a higher position like csm acsm, managemnet, service director, time and attence yea. Cashier, bagger, grocery,ect. No

It's normal.  Some stores just don't have spare rooms they can devote to training.
