Don't understand question.  I already start work at 2 am.  End at 7am, 8:30 or 10:30 randomly.

Yes, the day manager at our store is supposed to fill holes.  Not easy to do when the product needed is buried under 700 #s of catfood!!

why would all your back stock be buried under 700# of cat food? Is your store cat that big?

That was slightly exagerrated for effect.  But, it never fails, the product I want to use to fill a hole is usually at the bottom of the pallet and holding the rest of the pallet up and I need to clock out in 2 minutes.  We do not have enough spare Lcarts to sort everything.

Sometimes the cat backstock goes over 1 green Uboat.

Our night grocery arrives at 6am while we are running the previous delivery.  It sits in the backroom all day and we do not run it until 2 am the next day.  Even tho the order has not been recieved in the computer until 12:30 am, any holes sitting in the backroom count against us.  I only do the order once a week.  I am unable to order KMP or I would.  I try to order 2 days ahead of schedule and zero out holes I am 90% sure are 0s.  Sometimes the product magically appears from out of nowhere and I have to correct my 0s. No one has time to run backstock during the daytime.  98% of the time, backstock is ran at night.  Forget about the backstock being checked for product for holes, that doesn't happen.   The person doing the store review just 0s it out and walks away.  I and my manager are constantly un zeroing holes.  Many times, it is in shippers buried in the backroom.

we all usually work 11-8 but when i asked the store manager why i had to work the 2-11 shift when i had seniority over many other people i was told that everyone was going to have to work this new shift eventually. he said no store in the district is meeting oos target. i don't believe it's a corporate thing though. especially when this manager likes to make his own rules.

That kinda sucks. They have enough parcels/clerks to cover out the 2-11s (assuming your store(s) close at 11 like ours do). I got -really- good at making myself fall asleep on demand when I started working graves, so that wouldn't really be a tough adjustment for me - but that's still bs and shouldn't happen.
