What time is eschedule posted
Permalink

I just checked to see if my schedule for next week is posted ... It's 12:30 pm.... And it's not.. It only shows the hours I have worked this week.. When do they normally post them and are they usually late?

Call your store asking for your schedule. If they do not have schedules made, and you are in dire need of your schedule, politely tell them you're going to file a grievance if they don't call you back with your schedule.

Oh well they told me Thursday they already had the schedules made. Ill give them a call then.

I have my schedule written by Tuesday, we need to have them in for review by Thursday afternoon, schedules don't get posted in the store until after 3 on Friday. Just because they are DONE doesn't mean they are posted.

The other poster gave you terrible advice. Don't threaten about filing a grievance. What good is that going to do you? It's bully tactics. Go in and get your schedule. It is your responsibility, NOT anyone elses.

They are often supposed to be posted by noon, but that is in a perfect world.

That's an awful thing to say. By filing grievances, you gain the respect of your peers. They'll come to know you don't take crap from nobody. You'll uphold justice and the righteousness that is the union contract. Don't let the company bully you. It's not okay to let them bully you. You have legality on your side, they're the ones with the bully tactics.

The union is a toothless dog.   Look at our current contract.  New hirees have nothing to look forward to.  Only the slackers and desperate will stay around.

By filing grievances on petty stuff like this, you could also find yourself on the top of the managers **** list.

Which won't matter, because, the union will always have your back! God bless the union.

You need to pick and choose your battles. Filing a grievance over them not calling you with your schedule?? That does NOTHING but rocket your @ss to the top of the sh!tlist. And for good reason! If you'll be a troublemaker like that, imagine if something big happens. It's a SCHEDULE. GO IN AND GET IT LIKE EVERYONE ELSE DOES. Why put a bulls-eye on your back?

I can guarantee that by filing grievances you don't gain the respect of your peers. For crap like that, I'm willing to bet everyone will give that person the side-eye for making threats like that.

So, that means if you take a week's vacation because they didn't put up the schedule, everything's okay, right? If they were to get on your case about it, they'd just be troublemakers.

I'm not going to continue to argue about this. It's plain and simple. It's up to you (or whomever!) to find out your schedule. Welcome to being an adult and responsibility. You need to find out if vacation is approved or not before you go on it. Management isn't your b!tch. Sure don't let them be the lord and ruler, but take some personal responsibility for your G.D. JOB.

So, why do the unions even bother putting in clauses stating a schedule should be up by 12:00 p.m. on Saturday? I mean, if you complain when they're not put up on time you're going to be the bad guy. Might as well as let them do whatever they feel like. Might as well waste time and money driving back and forth to the store hoping they just might have the schedule put up. I mean, it's okay as long as it's just the employee being taken advantage of, right?

sometimes stuff happens and it can't get printed right away to meet the deadline.  but seriously, don't be an ass.  this is not the hill to die on.

don't be calling every day asking if you work and what time you come in.  we not your personal secretary.  get a piece of paper and write it down.  keep it on your person, in your phone, take a picture of it ... something.

They're talking about eschedule. I don't think it says anything about when e-schedule is posted. Just the store schedule, which is the master schedule. You know, a lot of people have to drive and check what their schedule is, not everyone is on e-schedule.

Exactly. This has all been about eschedule, not the paper schedule. The paper schedule is still the master, official schedule.

Let the anon who gave the advice to file a grievance over it not being online file one if they aren't given their schedule over the phone. The union will laugh in their face, and rightly so.

Well aren't we being a touch sensitive? No one is b!tching to you. The other conversation had nothing to do with YOU, just the situation...in general. Pipe down, no one said it was you.

It's also physically impossible for me to be a dick. A bitch? Oh yeah. I can be one of those, but not a dick.

If you don't take this job seriously, I would hate to be one of your co-workers. Because those who don't take their job seriously usually suck at it. There. Now that is towards you, personally.

Lmaoo just because I don't take my job seriously doesn't mean I don't do a good job at it. Every manager has already complimented my work ethic and told me I am a quick learner. I aced bagging groceries then moved to cashiering the third day on the job. I already ring up groceries faster than most of the other cashiers , I am actually a pretty good employee And I do a pretty damn good job at what I do for it being my first job so **** off.
