Vested means before your pension/retirement benefits kick in. In most cases, it's either five or seven years.

5 years more than likely, but I would hang in there an extra year to make sure its full locked in.

Thanks I cant seem to get an exact date, I cant wait to leave this company, but I want to lock in at least something at retirement, even if its 100 a month.. With all the different contracts, no one knows the answer.

 Ten years in Mid-South...however if you can't wait, tell management you would really like to become vested ASAP...just remember to tell them you wanted Blue when they hand you the Red Vest...
