i am considering transferring from being a deli clerk in the deli to beong a baker in the bakery. i know the deli is part of the meat cutters union. so how.much of a paycut would i take and wpuld i be losing my seniority and starting over?
I'm pretty sure you'd keep your seniority date, we had someone transfer from front end to bakery and she ended up bumping me in seniority.
Deli clerks are part of the meat union? I thought they were part of UFCW, they've had deli people work in bakery and bakery people work in deli before, here.
we r part of the ufcw but under a diffremt contrsct thsn front end and other departments. we are under the meat cutters contract.i was told that if we transfer out of deli to anywhere but meat dept. we will have to start over at the bottom of the pay scale.and.all.but idk
