Ask your manager or CSM to help you set-up direct deposit. That way you won't ever have to worry about a check. As for your first check, you'll get that next week on either Thursday or Friday. You'll want to ask the front desk.

Ive been working at Kroger for just a few days now, not including the 8 and a half hours of WBL, and 3 hours of orientation. Where do I go to get my check? Will they mail it to me? How do I know when to get it? Please help, anyone.

No problem. If you set-up direct deposit though, be sure to get your bank's routing number and your account number. You'll have to talk to the front desk either way to set-up your own password so you can log-in to express hr.

However, if you do set up direct deposit, you may still have a few paper checks before things start depositing; it can take up to 4-6 weeks. You don't even need to get someone to help you set up your direct deposit; it can be done through the expresshr website at ess.kroger.com

Better to ask the question(s) because you can't count on the Kroger to tell you any information. They are going to assume that you, by some miracle, are already going to know the in's and out's of working there. When I first started I dodn't even know where the break room was.....I still don't know who my HR is.

Yeah, they assume too much.  I was never told how to request days off, where to get my paycheck when I started, etc.  I've trained cashiers who didn't know where the break room was.  New hires are supposed to get a 'tour' of the store.  Some do, many don't.

When I got hired, I got a tour of the store but i don't know if they still do that.

But to not even know where the break room is, that's sad.

Did your HR not do your orientation, interview you and hire you?

I was hired through a job fair. Hell, the "HR People" who were there originally wrote "night stock" on my application, but when I showed up for training I was on the CBT for day stock.

To add to that, I've been cycled between dairy and nutrition.

I'm not surprised that they don't tell new hires anything at all.

Even now I still can't log in on our RF handheld things. They told me that they'd get me set up with it repeatedly. xD
