I quit Kroger in another state and now I'm trying to get hired in another one. Found out that the HR in the other state hasn't removed me from their files, so according the the Kroger in the state I'm in now, I'm still employed in the other state. I can't seem to get this job where I live now until HR removes me. What can I do or who can I call MYSELF to fix this? Because this is insanely frustrating...
You can call your old store's hr person and ask them to do it, but if there were any bad feelings around your quitting, they may not cooperate. If so, you may have to have your new store's hr person contact corporate hr directly.
Can't transfer, because I haven't worked there for 6 months. Also, I moved to another state, and you can't transfer like that, or I've been told you can't.

Oh yes you can. Someone lied to you.
Full time employees maybe. We have stores 20 miles down the road with a different payscale. Not sure how that works when an employee moves from the higher paying store to the lower paying store.
As a part time employee, in order for me to transfer to another store as a part time employee, I basically have to quit and start from scratch. I ain't giving up my 6 years senority and 2 weeks of vacation.

Sucks for you under your contract, but we have people transfer stores all the time. Part-time and full-time. They keep their vacations and seniority.

Our contracts in Michigan just added that clause in. A lot of people seem to be thankful.
