Just throwing this out there; the PS ice cream is to die for. Probably the best ice cream from a container I've ever had. I had the Caramel Praline btw.

I have to agree with you.  My favorite is the Raspberry Buttercream Cake flavor.  It is absolutely wonderful.  I could eat the entire container if I had no self control.  :)

I have to try the Caramel Praline flavor now.  It sounds really good.

I hear today at work that the store gave away free items out of the private select store brand for associates to try ((sample)) at home in the hopes that we will up sell the brand to the customers.

My question here is how would I go about getting in on this?

It's the best ice cream hands down. Except for Jeni's ice cream.

come to Cincinnati and I will show you some way better ice cream than the Kroger Private Selection brand.  We have a couple local manufacturers that make some of the best ice cream in the USA.  One is call United Dairy Farmers or UDF brand and the other is Graeter's.  Both are sold at Kroger.  UDF was founded by a guy named Carl Lindner who after building his UDF empire of convenient stores around the Cincinnati area later purchased Chiquita banana and also the Cincinnati Reds.  He died a very very rich man a few years back.  Use to drive around by his chauffer in his Rolls Royce.  The other, Graeter's is just pretty much high quality ice cream that was founded back in the early 1900's as a soda shop.  We have maybe 8 to 10 locations around town.  Good stuff! And that is why Kroger, a Cincinnati based company tries to compete in the ice cream world with greats like these.

UDF ice cream is amazing (especially when they have peach ice cream in the summer) but I have to go to Englewood to get it. I always get it a couple times a year though.

I LOVE PS' honey baklava ice cream. Sadly, I couldn't find it in the right size. I ended up getting blueberry cheesecake but I haven't tried it yet. Hopefully it's good!

Has anyone, in any store, seen pink peppercorn ice cream?? They used to advertise it all the time in my store and for the life of me, I could never find it. I asked around about it and just got shrugs in response.  I thinnnk it's private selection, but I've never seen it in any brand.

It was a private selection flavor. They used to advertise it on the in-store music station thingy.

Yeah, I heard it all the time. Thanks for telling me, I'm glad to know that it actually existed.
