So, does Kroger have any over night security for their 24-7 stores? They definitely need to hire some, at least at the stores in my town. Things have gotten so I won't even go there after sun down any more.
In our Division, one of our overnight Grocery Manager was shot while the thieves were leaving the store. He was out for half a year to recover from being shot...Kroger also wrote him up for allowing himself to be shot on Kroger property...
The store that I used to work at had an overnight security guard, however they did not have any sort of weapon or firearm and were not allowed to physically touch any shoplifter.
They were mostly there for when the front end USCAN cashier was taking her break/lunch and to just look menacing I guess.
My store isn't in a big town but we're open 24-7 and nope, there's no security. As far as I know, nothing major has ever happened at night but I don't think I'd want to be there by myself at night...
