My store is short-staffed, so it's common for part-time employees to get around 40 hours a week every week. I've gotten between 35 hours and 40 hours each week for the past month and I'm part-time as well. Though that is taking into consideration all the times I'm called in, or take over people's shifts. If they were to cut hours down to 28 at our store, we wouldn't have enough people to run the store.

My nephew just told me meijers is trying to take everyone down to 24 hours. He has 7 part time workers under his supervision and they are all working 40s.
