We had gotten out produce load in and we are screwed!! Half of what we ordered got sent to the WRONG store, whomever dropped the pallet off crashed it into another pallet and it toppled over, so now we have mashed up produce mixed in with another pallet we have so my dept head asked me to clean it up while he re wrote the order. I have no problem with this.... HOWEVER!!! Would it kill the warehouse to get te damn order right? And whomever brought the pallet in... Learn to f**cking drive!! It looked like whoever did got pissed and left. And plus, the BIG HEADS aee coming in to look at our dept. oh, yeah... Their gonna be real "happy"
Problem is that half our items are damaged, we're missing half our order, plus we have visitors coming in tomorrow. Our dept is supposed to be full, and it would have been if warehouse idiots had gotten it right. Also if the idiot unloading would not have crashed the pallet into another, making a mess and damaging half the stock.
Half the produce we get in lately is moldy or bad quality anyway. Then they wonder why shrink is high. Instead of trashing a pallet of moldy strawberries at the warehouse, lets just send them off. Can't even pick through this crap its so moldy, I know they see it. Will keep taking hundreds of pics until they get the hint.

We've been dealing with this too...A LOT. And so far, nobody can seem to offer a good explanation to us as to why. We are able to mark the stuff off and sell it to a local organics contractor, but that does not EVEN off set the loss we're suffering.
We're loosing money out the arse, and we've told the warehouse over and over they are contributing to our shrink issue. We can't sell badly damaged crap. Technically we're not supposed to at all, but if its salvagable, we can sell it at a discount price and make some money off it. Even if a contains of strawberries were to say, spill, and we had about half left, as long as its not dirty or damaged, we can reduce the price and sell it. (Provided they didn't all spill out) but with our recently damaged pallet, our strawberries became strawberry jam
our biggest problem is that we work for kroger.....Yea you can complain you can whine to the biggest wig you want. Yes they will listen.BUT they will not do a dang thing about it... They never have and never will. Thats the biggest problem with kroger..

Not necessarily true. You just have to annoy the right person high enough up who will tell the right other person to fix it. It's not always easy, but it can almost always be done. Just isn't always worth the effort.
