what kinds of things do you remember that lasted for a month or two, or maybe just never happened at all that were "new" with key refailing?
OLD: I remember an "off the dock" log for DSD...they wanted us to literally log every time we left the dock for any reason. It lasted maybe day at our store, I don't remember them ever asking to see that log. I remember seeing it for the first time and wondering how they'd like it when I wrote "took dump" every day.
NEW: We have to do a "store to kiosk" report every day that tells what items the fuel station needs to have filled. It breaks it down by vendor. It could be 1 bag of chips or a couple of sodas and the vendors are supposed to get the product from the shelf or backstock, bring it to me along with their list that I printed for them, I scan the items out and they go deliver the item(s) to fuel and get a signature verifying they delivered the product. Wonder how long this will last... the DSD desk is covered in slips of paper that will likely never be looked at or questioned.

mimik, it just started a few weeks ago. How long will this crap last?
They could save a lot of time and money if they'd get rid of that crew that comes up with this crap and passes it down to us to figure out. Some of the ideas are jokes, it's obvious that they're running out of ideas when they want to know why you've left the dock and how often.

Hey, everybody involved at my store is excited about MIMIK. It's something new to learn, but it standardizes the entire process of keeping the kiosk stocked and eliminates the issues that arise at inventory when fuel has taken hundreds or thousands of dollars of product without it being transferred.

that's a good point, however...it doesn't change the fact that many of our dsd products show BOHs of -100. I can see where this might be a good idea, but it doesn't really fix the problem

Those should be reset at inventory time and now that MIMIK is in place, everything has to actually be scanned out of the system, so from here on out, those should relfect real numbers. MIMIK also reflects regular shelf items that the fuel center sells.
