I was on my vac and when I clocked out I still had my work shirt on sleeves pulled up. Shortly after my dept manager called me in to the office. He said I MUST have my tatts covered. I told him I was officially off the clock and on vacation and my tatts were NOT offensive. he looked at them and said that an employee didn't like it (he had no problem with it) so to the employee that may be reading this: DEAL WITH IT!! I was off the clock on MY OWN TIME!
I don't do Walmart. I was off the clock on my time. And management didn't see a problem with a zombie cat. It's covered up at work at al times except on my lunch and before or after I'm on the clock
I hate tattoos they are ugly!!! We once had a guy working overnight stocking and he had them all over both arms but no one said anything. plus our co-manager had one on her neck and wrist.
how about this: if you've got your work shirt on, keep it covered. simple. you might be off the clock but you're still "in uniform" break, lunch, doesn't matter.
Some dress code rules are odd. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with that tattoo.
At my store, we're no longer allowed to wear hair nets at the front end when we're called up for checking/sacking assistance, because a customer complained to a manager because "it looks tacky and there's no reason for a guy to be wearing a hair net on the front end." It's pretty stupid seeing as I was being called up every 5 minutes. So I just wound up going through a bunch of hair nets that day.

My NON offensive tattoo
If you were off the clock why were you hanging out at Kroger? Especially on Vacation? I just had to ask.
