You need to ask the manager you work for at night or the other people you work with.
My store managers and time clock people barely know how to read the night crew schedule.
Generally, what you described is how I read my schedule for nights.
My workweek starts on a Saturday but I don't normally come in until 2am Sunday morning until 8+am! Then, I come back Sunday night at 11pm until 7:30 am Monday morning.
2am -8:30am Sunday is considered Saturday night because the rest of the crew came in at 10:30pm Saturday night.
11pm Sun - 7:30am Monday is considered Sunday night.
I just started working at Dillions and I am on the Night Crew. The scheduling is kinda strange for me Is it a day behind?
If my schedule says : Sunday 11pm to 7am. That means I work Sunday night to 7am Monday morning right?
That's usually how it works. You generally go by the start time as to what day you come in. The only confusion is when your start time is at midnight. Since midnight starts a new day, if you're scheduled say Friday 12:00 am to 8:00 am you would go to work late Thursday night and punch in at midnight. If you went to work Friday night and punched in when the clock reached midnight, you would actually be working on Saturday and not Friday.
I work nights so I think of days in terms of the hours, not when I wake up.. so I'll say yeah I work monday 12a-830a and people will get confused, so eventually i just started saying sunday night at 12 lol
and my closing uscan shifts are 5:30p-2a, and when people ask and i say yes i leave at 2, they always look shocked and ask IN THE MORNING?!?! no, idiot, i work 530pm til 2 in the afternoon does that sound better or make any sense?

also not payroll and eschedule are not in sync if you come in Saturday, say 11p, and work into Sunday morning that shift will be on the new week's paycheck not the week you just ended even though the shift will be on the week that's just ending's schedule.
pathetically my manager can't get this right and gave up because he kept giving full time people 32 or 48 hours in a pay period instead of 40.

This is correct. My closing self-scan shifts are like that (5:30pm - 1:00am) and my File Maintenance shifts start a midnight a lot of times as well too. Always go by the start time.
