How will Kroger and local 1996 will screw us this time on the contract and mainly my department Fuel Cen

OK I'm a Full-Time fuel clerk and we don't make jack for money  and we are a sub-department of front-end which is kind of funny we don't make the money that a Full-time cashier makes which that's what we do all day take peoples money and they have added more stuff to our duties like mimik and deal with more paper work than a normal cashier needs to handle and touch DSD items and stock them and other departments items like Drug-GM and Grocery  like water ice and Cigarets things. My feelings are if we touch those Items or do other departments jobs we should be paid for it at the same rate as Drug_GM and Grocery Rate of pay top pay for cashier is $14.40.But a full time fuel clerk makes $11.00 which is section 8 housing for half the fuel clerks that work for Kroger are on food stamps. The union seems not like to fight for Fuel at all and Kroger is most happy to pay us happy meal wages, We make as Full-Timers the same money as a Part Time cashier which is messed up in the contract which I voted no on this contract and all my store did too.

Yea we do have the same Insurances as the Full-Time cashiers but  they still willn't give  Part-Time Fuel Clerks Insurances which is unfair to them because a Part-Time Cashier does why not a Part-Time Fuel Clerk.Kroger could give a rats azz about there employees and well being a well paid a well health Employee makes the company better and more willing to work hard for them.We all know local 1996 president got in trouble with the cops with weapons charges and a hooker issue in Lula Park a couple years ago http://www.gainesvilletimes.com/archives/10036/     http://media.morristechnology.com/mediafilesvr/upload/gainesville/article/1017PARKSDOC.pdf   ..I feel he has been brought and paid for by Kroger as a yes man.Wish as a union member I knew what to do. One of my friends is on the negotiation team for the new contract and he hates that he is not allowed as a union member to say anything in the meeting with Kroger and if he does he must ask the Union President if he can say it which is bs..Your fighting as a union member on behalf of other union members and you should have a right to say what you think about what Kroger is offering for a new contract without having ask the union for permission to say it. It's a canned contract negotiation kind of one sided I say.

As of the 2009 contract, it's hard to know what's left to take away.  the pay raises can't get smaller.  push earned vacation back to year 2?  increase health care costs?
