It has been awhile since I have dropped by. And I, as most of you know, am the moderator to this site. Most of you also are aware that I am no longer working for the fine establishment know as Kroger. Yes, I have moved on. Not by my choice but rather through a series of unfortunate circumstances that have ultimately lead to my firing. It was me, yes, who started it all by dumping a trash barrel onto the deli floor b/c I was being antagonized by a fellow deli employee. However, I never anticipated that it would lead to me being accused of "workplace violence". Oh well. C'est la vie.
I can not see myself coming onto this forum as often as I did in the past if at all. So this once again brings up the subject of what should happen with the forum's moderation. As some of you recall, about a year back we had a very bad situation of hackers / spammers. I took the initiative to become the moderator then delete any and all posts that were inappropriate. Once that begun, the spammers knew they were licked and left back into the woods. Since then this forum has run the way it should - with out spam and hacks. I can pass the torch to an established member thus giving them the privilege of being the forum's moderator. Or, I can just let things progress as they were before I figured out how to be a moderator. If the need arises for moderation, then one of you will have to go down the same path I did and become one.
I do hope to write a few more posts in the near future outlining what transpired over the past few months between me and Kroger and the good ol' Union. It is a interesting story I think. Full of bull**** and troubling facts that every one should be aware of. Face it, I screwed up and got myself in the situation I was in. However, I am firm in my belief that the situation was made way worse than it really was by others. Deliberately.
Ok enough for now. I do have a new job. I took most of the summer off just chillin'. I'm not bitter or mad or any of that. Just think some things are bull ****. Take care and let me know what you think of the moderator situation. I'll check back soon guys.
YOLO BABY

Sounds like you had your appeal process Dude already. Can't wait to hear more posts from you. I also no someone who will be going through an appeal process with the Union. Would be interested to know how yours went, what to expect from the Union Board. Did you go in person or appeal in writing since that is an option as well. I have a feeling my friend will be thrown under the bus by the Union. His case is interesting as well...very sad situation...as it is my opinion that it was a set up by management in his case. Best of luck to you! Kroger is losing very talented employees and the Union does nothing.
My union rep called me and left a mssg a few days back saying that the appeal hearing was scheduled on Monday 5pm at some UFCW union hall I was totally aware even existed. She wanted to know if I plan to be present or not. So I called her back and left her a mssg saying "I don't know" and that I am "In the dark" concerning what to expect. She calls back getting hold of me and pretty much says that she doesn't understand how I can say that I feel in the dark since she pretty much explained to me how this particular meeting will be. She was quite annoyed. She even questioned my overall psychological demeanor saying pretty much maybe I am an ******* and a hothead. So **** her. I told her thanks for re-informing me of the process & I'm sorry that she feels betrayed. I will think all this over and get back with her in a few days to let her know whether or not I will be there. Come Sunday, she called and left a mssg asking for my decision. I blew her and the meeting off. Instead I was at the casino playing in a Texas Hold-Em tournament. I pulled in $1225 which equated to a month worth of take home pay.
A couple days later a letter arrives in my mailbox from UFCW 75. I went to the ****ter to read it. It said that the arbitration board reviewed my appeal grievance and they determined that they will not continue with it. Case closed. Surprise, surprise.
