They said it was Nationwide but only a few states. Now who did it? Should we blame Obama? I heard he flipped the switch or maybe just blame the Republicans they get blamed for everything else anyway.
The outage caused pure chaos at our store yesterday. I didn't work in the morning (I got there at 4:00 pm), but I heard there were at least 10 full baskets of re-shop.
While I was at work, every other phone call (at least once every 2 minutes) was somebody calling if "our EBT system is back up yet."
Luckily Mississippi's EBT system came back up around 6:00 pm, and then EVERYBODY came and shopped. We were shorthanded, and our QueVision suffered greatly because of it.

Yeah, the outage was ummm, "interesting" to say the least. We were making constant announcements over the PA system about "our EBT system is down, and we cannot accept EBT payments "etc. and people were just ignoring them, then getting pissed when they got to the register and couldn't get their groceries.
We had one customer order a sub, with at least THREE announcements while we were making it for her, then order two more subs that were halfway done before she asked "what does that mean?" Umm, lady, they just told you at least 8 times since you've been standing here that you can't buy anything with an EBT card. We finally managed to explain to her that if she didn't have cash or a credit/debit card that wasn't tied to food stamps, she couldn't buy anything, and she wants to know if we can "do something" about it. Not sure if she thought we were going to just give her 3 sandwiches for free, or if she thought that we could maybe call the EBT people and make them let her card work or what . . .
