Night crew shift was shifted to a 12am to 8:30 because they could not figure out how to make Eschedule compensate for the over night shift exp mon/tue 10pm to 6:30 am
instead of fixing the program screw the peoples lives
that doesn't make sense because you can manually put in the hours for a shift.
now if it's because payroll is out of sync with eschedule, yeah that takes a heads-up schedule writer to realize his full time people might be over or short hours one week to the next.
i had a schedule writer who couldn't do math involving time and never looked at the prior week's schedule.
Our night crew schedule is Saturday thru Friday ... on the old schedule our Saturday never show but with this new scheduling system it show at the end of the week which is the start of our new week So if they schedule me Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday and Saturday it says its 40 hrs. but its really 32 because our Saturday is in the next week
So wouldn't the previous Saturday worked count on this week??? Thus making it 40hrs...sounds like everyone needs to learn how to adjust to Esched, its pretty simple
same here.. they dont know how to change it to be sat-fri so they just have everyone scheduled for 12am.. but allow everyone to come in at 9p and 10p and get an override. they have to override every night crew member every single night lol
same thing here. they started making all night shifts for groc at 12am. i was told 'we cant schedule overnight shifts before midnight anymore". i figured that was just b.s. and it was only that our schedule writers can't figure out how to do it. there is a big difference between 'cant' and 'wont because we we don't want to learn how'. if they gave me a 5min run in e-sched i could have it figured out. they'll probably have to send down a 30-min CBT detailing out the process in 6 months before the situation is resolved.
