Obviously, you didn't attend union meetings. Cuz if you did, you could turn the sky from blue to red and make God himself come down and make everything right with the world. They would have given you much better pay if you just would have complained.

Frys union is useless 3 contracts for same job looks like the union bowed down 3 times, all that does is divide your union members against each other what a joke the union is, cares about no one but themselves.

You're just full of it aren't you? People shouldn't have to be FORCED to join an evil organization. If you don't like the way things are run, restructure it. Stop with the name calling of people who believe differently than you.4C4EE

I pay my dues, my department is 100% union and i'm a shop steward that actually does their job. I attend union meetings every month. I'm sorry that my local is a actual functioning union. We all got each others backs and management doesn't try and cross lines.

oh, boy, someone else who doesn't have a clue why they get overtime pay if they work more than 40 hours a week, or why companies are required to provide lunch breaks, days off, vacation time and minimum wage. (Oh, and let's not forget having your medical bills paid and your job protected if you get hurt on the job.) Check your history. Before unions, people had NO protection from their employers, and could be forced to work 18 hours a day, 7 days a week for anything the company was willing to pay. They didn't get lunch breaks unless the company was kind enough to "allow" them, didn't get paid time off, and could be fired for missing one day of work because they were sick. People who were injured on the job and were lucky enough to survive it were usually fired, and had to pay their own medical bills, IF they could scrape up enough money to actually pay a doctor.  ALL the benefits you take for granted in every job you've ever had came from the work of the "evil organization" you so despise.

The reason retail employers can f#ck us over is because the unions have been weakened by "right to work" laws, which are really "right to work for less and get screwed by your employer" laws. Right to work laws don't benefit anyone but the employer.
