eschedule is not your time clock so, no, it will not effect your pay. take your breaks like you normally would. Who knows why it wants to give you lunches on 5-6 hours shifts. I don't think you even get a lunch unless you are on schedule for 6 1/2 hours... in which case i'd take 2 breaks unless instructed otherwise.

1:30-7:45 is 6.25 hours but minus 30 minutes for a lunch is 5.75 hours.
Generally, the rule at our store is: If you are scheduled for a 6+ hour shift, you need to take a lunch. Period. I do not understand why they are making you take a lunch for a 4.5 hour shift. Since Eschedule started at our store, I have only worked 8 hour shifts so I do not know if we take a lunch or not for a 4.5 hour shift.

I was actually wrong, i work 1:30 to 7:45 tomorrow, i didnt really look at that correctly.
SO for 1:30-7:45 i will get one break, and if they put me for 15 mins longer i would have gotten a lunch too?

I don't know what division you're in but in the Mid South if your shift is more than six hours (yours is 6 hour and 15 minutes) you get two breaks. I don't know anybody who takes a lunch when they're scheduled less than 8 1/2 hours

It's where someone (either eschedule or the schedule writer) inserted a lunch, perhaps because the shift was originally longer and was shortened. We could do this in sked. I could theoretically schedule someone 8.5 hours or more and sked would only show them working .5 hrs or less.

No, it has nothing at all to do with your pay. You are paid based upon what you work, not what you are scheduled. No action is required.

Nah, not necessarily. whattheAR is a minor, so unless their contract states lunches must be taken for shifts shorter than 6 hours, they don't have to take one til they hit 6 hrs, at which point it's illegal to skip the lunch. Pretty much straight forward.
It shouldn't affect you unless your person doing payroll puts you in for taking a lunch ..... I am not sure how it works were you are at but in local 700 its Under 4 hrs. no break. 4 hrs. to 6.75 hrs 1 break. 7 hrs to 8 hrs 2 breaks but work 7.5 hours you can request a lunch... Work 8.5 hrs. its 2 breaks a lunch ..... work 9 hrs its 2 breaks and a 1 hour long lunch which 9 hrs shifts don't happen very often....

Your pay depends on what you actually work, not what the schedule says. That being said, I've had a few checks come up short, so I recommend that everyone track their actual hours. I normally write down what time it is every time I hit the clock, that way I know if the check is off because I went over on breaks, forgot I clocked in late or clocked out early for some reason, or if there's actually a mistake somewhere, and I have some back-up if I have to ask for it to be corrected. I mean, I'm not gonna get all freaked if it's off by a few minutes here or there, but 3 or 4 hours? THAT I want fixed. They don't get that much work for free.

Yeah, which is why it's realllllllly stupid. I got like, a half hour lecture before from my manager for ignoring the intercom when I was paged while on break before :/
The thing though with Michigan is that we don't have a law on the books concerning lunches and breaks, meaning our union doesn't have as much bargaining power as they should. We really do need a law giving workers guaranteed breaks.
