So currently I am a courtesy clerk at the store I'm hired to.. But I've been checking my ESchedule for a few days now, and my schedule shows up completely blank. Normally, I wouldn't be too bugged over this, because of having no work to do, but this kind of puts me off. I'd rather not get fired for not going into work when the schedule says I don't have to online. I also checked the schedule at the store, and it was the same.
Am I being laid off? Or do courtesy clerks get times where they don't have to go in for a while?
Also, I already have about 17-18'ish hours logged into the system, might that have something to do with it?
Contact your manager or schedule writer. In my local, if you don't receive your minimum of 12 hours, you're considered laid off BUT you must receive a letter beforehand stating that effect.
there may have been no hours to give you so they took you off the schedule since they couldn't give you the minimum required by contract. i've seen dept heads take someone off the schedule to punish them for too many call outs. inevitably that person is back on schedule.
