Hey give em time... they'll be number one in this decade. U notice our spoiled CEO blesses this master plan to get rid of full-time and full time benefits, then does the exit stage left handoff to a long-time henchman that engineered this greed driven abortion .... if history is any indicator whenever some fat cat CEO bails out and gets his golden parachute pkge and cashes his stock options to make him a 9 figure multi- millionaire then the next guy up is a real intense profiteer that will run roughshod over anyone or anything( like a weak union) to make his presence known. So if you don't like what you see now, just wait a couple years and see how too much power in the wrong hands can completely ruin what used to be a great company.
Kroger used to be a great company but that was before the older people retired. Kroger started going downhill in 2004 when Dillon took over. Kroger corporate is now so anti union and the ufcw unions are so weak it is not funny. it used to be fun to come to work at Kroger but not now. you feel like you are in prison, you pray every day that you will not get suspended on a trumped up charge. you cannot trust your co-workers because they have to many of these people in their 20s who are being made department heads and they think the older people are to old to work and we need should not be there any longer. I was told that the department heads was told by management that the department heads are to write up the older full time employees on any thing they could think of. corporate wants rid of long time employees. if you say anything to the union they act like you are stupid. the unions have been took over by the company.
