FIRST OFF THANKS FOR TAKING TIME TO ANSWER OR GIVE OPINION ABOUT MY SITUATION
WELL IT GOES LIKE THIS, ABOUT A MONTH AGO I WAS WORKING IN THE MEAT DEPT BY MYSELF. IT WAS TUESDAY, BETTER KNOWN AS "SENIOR DAY" I WAS SETTING UP THE SERVICE MEAT CASE AND HELPING CUSTOMERS. GOING ABOUT MY NORMAL ROUTINE EXCEPT IT WAS REALLY BUSY AND AGAIN WE ARE SHORT STAFFED. I MADE GRINDS FOR THE SERVICE CASE AND GOT SIDE TRACKED HELPING CUSTOMERS AND DOING A STORE WALK WITH CO MANAGER AT THE SAME TIME. WELL I REALIZED I FORGOT TO PUT IN THE GRIND LOG...SO ONCE I REALIZED IT, I PUT IN A LOG ABOUT 45 MIN LATER. THEN PROCEEDED TO CLEAN THE GRINDER AND GO ABOUT MY DAY. LATER ON THE CO MANAGER AND MANAGER ACCUSE ME OF FALSIFYING COMPANY DOCUMENTS. THE NEXT TWO DAYS I WAS OFF AND COME FRIDAY THEY SUSPENDED ME UNTIL FURTHER INVESTIGATION. WEEKS GO BY AND I DONT HEAR A WORD FROM ANYONE, I CALL AND CALL AND CALL AND GET THE RUN AROUND. I FINALLY SPEAK TO MY HR AND HE SAYS" I DIDNT REALIZE I WAS SUPPOSED TO CALL YOU" REALLY? I MEAN REALLY?!!!! WHAT CAN I DO???????
You have 30-60 minutes after grinding to log and clean the grinder in some divisions, but that is where you need to have an open discussion with your union, NOW. Call them tomorrow morning, don't ask us here for our division standards as yours may vary.

Or when you're trying to get a point across and no matter how you phrase it, some computer will match it to "another source" and the professor will fail you.
Get a copy of the grind log policy, if you still can and read it good. If your still suspended, have another employee in the meat dept get you a copy. Look at the policy to see whether or not it states a time that the grind log has to be filled out after your done with your grind. If it doesn't....you call or email your union rep and tell them that the policy does not state a specific time that it has to be filled out so they can defend your case. You did not falsify anything, you did it, maybe 45 minutes later but it got done. It is petty! You got side tracked with the Co-Manager for your walk, he should be your witness and not trying to write you up, or suspend you with the Manager. Sounds like a set up. Fight it!
