Ok so here is the deal. My niece works for a Quality Food Centers (QFC) here in Seattle. She has been there about 6 months now, and has not heard or seen anything in the way of accruals for her sick time and vacation. She is consistently told her has no accrued vacation or sick time, but I know this cannot be true unless there is something to do with the Union that changes things. How does a QFC employee see their accrual history, and is there a union policy on sick leave and vacation? Any help would be great!
She should get 1 week of vacation after her first anniversary date.
As for sick pay.... LOL. Unless you're on medical leave you're just screwed. If you get the flu and call in one day, yea you're just losing your day's pay.
