Performance excellence?

I was on express HR looking at my profile and came across something that says "Performance excellence discussions" "Next discussion date: 12/16/13." Not sure what that means. Are my manager and supervisor just gonna go over how they think I'm doing so far or something?

You'll be led to this creepy black room with a stobe light, whereupon the Council will initiate you in the Lesser Mysteries.  Hope you remember the passwords!

Nah, you'll most likely be called to the manager's office to be given some brief compliments on your strengths and clichéd tips for improvement.  Boxes will be checked, lines signed.  Quite frankly, everyone involved usually has other things to worry about, and it will be over VERY quickly.

as with all Kroger crap the evaluations are a waste of time, WHY???? because they have to make the entire process difficult. cant just have it clear and to the point!!! someone spent years developing this system and millions spent on it...... so it must be all that!!!!!

Ah yes...corporate retail, the bastion of acronyms and new-speak. Review? no, that sounds too confrontational, non-inclusive and lacking in engagement. Performance Excellence Discussion? Much better! And hey!! We can call it PED!!!! Win-Win!!!
