Ask your manager. It varies depending on the type of RF handheld you use. At least it did when I worked for Kroger. Even though I never had to scan stuff out, I did inventory audits after inventory and whatnot and was useful for working with the scan department.

Normally it's under C.A.O. > Remove Inventory > [type of scan out]

On the ones we use it's 1: CAO, then 4: Remove Inventory, then whichever one is Damaged, there's categories for things such as Daily Donations too.

Ours is under item maintenance; change BOH to reflect the new balance (subtract 1 for each damaged item), and a pop-up screen lets you select 'Quality/Damaged' as a reason for the balance change.

Depends on what department you're in.

On mine it's sign in > C.A.O. (usually 1) > Remove Inventory (usually 4) > and then either "Outdated" or "Quality/Damage"

That's the way it's usually done.  However, if it's a major loss such as losing a whole freezer full of product due to a power outage, then it's scanned out as uninsured store loss.  Our store had a power outage due to a wind storm a few years back and lost over $300,000 worth of food.

Great Training! What store do you work at? lol I got the sarcasm.....I've wanted to use a gun and several people in my store over the years. But I've never actually done it. How did you get away with it?

Anyway......you have to have a unique id and password. After going into CAO go to number 5 to mark it down then number 4 to remove it from inventory.
