I had everything done just have to wait till this background check to come back ! It's been 11DAYS!! My record is super clean so why would of take so long
Also the manager called me Feb 3 telling me that it was pending!
Just relax, sometimes background checks can take longer than normal. It all depends on how busy the company that they hire to do background checks and how busy the store is. If they went as far as drug testing and looking into a background check, they are more than likely interested in you and want you to work there.
If you have any other job opportunities, don't turn them away.
I second this. If you do have any others, please take them. The only thing that benefits anyone from working at Kroger is the Union (sometimes) and department head positions.
I hope you get the Kroger job if you want it, but you should know it's not uncommon for management to change their minds on a hire after basically promising the job. And it has nothing to do with anything anyone did wrong, but sometimes regional and/or district management will do budget cuts at the last minute. In that event, HR is supposed to call and tell you......but things slip through the cracks sometimes and new hires are forgotten.

Future refers if you have a interview at Kroger and you're drug tested and background check on the spot you have then job. Then it takes over 12 days and you called repeatly thru them day and you feel like giving up ? Don't freight they WILL hire you!
