We're having a hard time reaching 90% compliance on E-Schedule in the deli and bakery. It wants to schedule everyone late in the day, but I need several people early in the morning. I need someone to open the deli case. I need two people to come in and do bread. I need a cake decorator. I need someone to open the chef case. I need someone to start frying chicken and prepping the chickens for the roaster. All those things have to be done early in the morning. We also have quite a few early morning customers. We have plenty of people to handle the late afternoon and evening work, but E-Schedule seems to think EVERYONE except for one or two people needs to come in after 12:00 PM. E-Schedule may work fine in a department where everyone does pretty much the same thing, but it's not like that in the deli and bakery.
I write the schedule in e-sched, I don't run the auto scheduler. I schedule my people for the times I need them based on how I KNOW our dept works. No one has ever said anything to me about it.

Well at least you are looking at your schedule and making it out based on the dept needs. In the last two/three weeks the schedule at the store i am at the grocery/dairy department has been all messed up. No one to cover 6 to about 4 then I or other workers are scheduled late in the day/evening. At one point the GM of the store had to get a new schedule for several depts cause they made no sense!
