Shortly after I posted the schedule on Friday one of my necessary full time people came in with a doctor's note saying she needed to be off the following week. Yes, it's legit. So I had to redo the schedule. The problem is E-Schedule wouldn't let me change it because it said the schedule had already been published and couldn't be changed. So I had to scratch out the affected people's E-Schedule times and write in the times I actually needed them to be at work. Our contract says the schedule can be modified up until 6:00 PM Saturday for the following week's schedule. How can you do that if the stupid E-Schedule won't let you? By the way, I sent a note to the makers of E-Schedule and told them how useless their software is.
Just scratch out the day she's supposed to work and see if anyone else in your dept wants some extra hours. That's the only way that I know of that you can " override" eschedule. We've had to do it at our store a a few times. It can be hard though. Especially if your tapped out.
Post E schedule changes, when I worked on the front end, if changes needed to be made it was always a mad telephone marathon calling people pre our schedule lock time of Noon on Saturday.......I know for a fact it makes our front end lead a basket case a lot.......and she does not need the extra headache. PS didnt you know the creators of E scheduling are related to the inventors of key retailing and OSAT........that is why first cousins and immediate family should not breed.

People should know their online schedule isn't necessarily correct and should always check the store posted copy. that's per contract anyway, posted schedule rules. It's ridiculous the online schedule doesn't update or you can't get an alert or someone has to call or text you to tell you something changed. It's kinda a waste of time and effort.
