So...I heard today that we're starting Key Retailing Wave 1 in the bakery department finally. I know other depts. have dealt with this crap for a long time.
So what should I expect in wave 1? It sounds like right now just a lot of labeling of dumb crap like THIS IS A BREAD SLICER, THIS IS A COOLER, etc.

You have to label EVERYTHING.
This is the oven
This is the oven door
This is the oven door handle
This is the control panel for the oven
This is the bakers' table
This is the top of the baker's table
This is one of the legs of the bakers' table
This is the floor
This is the ceiling
This is an air vent
This is the phone
This is 15 channel cart
This is a 12 channel cart
This is a 20 channel cart
This is the proofer
This is the left door of the proofer
This is the handle on the left door of the proofer
This is the right door of the proofer
This is the handle of the right door of the proofer

Yep. Right before I quit Kroger as a manager, we were in the midst of Wave I in Produce. I was short timing it, so I got, well, "creative". I labeled EVERYTHING. Phone, handset (speak into this, hear from here), wall, floor. I must have wasted about $100 worth of signs, and since we were on an interim store manager, no one was keeping track of anything I was doing. That was fabulous.
