Rain Rain Go away -- or at least buy us some new ponchos

So our store ponchos really stink. No, literally at least two have an odor of mildew and the others are torn to pieces.

I bought one of my own when we were raining for $3.99 right there in-store. A fellow employee told me if I had notified management or supervisor, that the store would have paid for it on the company dime. Anyone go through something like that? No WAY was I getting wet for barely $80 per paycheck.

That is quite possibly one of the most retarded things I have ever read. It's water, not piss.

Since you're only making $80 a week I'm guessing you're a high school girl (low availability + typical high school girl whining phase) and I hate to say this, but you need to grow the **** up; it's ****ing water! How are you supposed to get through your goddamn life when you are willing to turn down money because you'll get a little wet. Jesus mother****ing Christ ****.

They shouldn't expect CC's to go out in the rain without any type of rain poncho.

I could imagine them getting wet then coming in and management complaining that their uniform looked sloppy.

My suggestion would be to get promoted ASAP.

It looks like someone in Produce isn't doing their job --- there seems to be a tomato that's spoiled and gone bad.

Our cart pushers wont wear the rain jackets (lime green with reflective stripes) that we have.  Too ugly.  They just wear their own jacket with the vest over it.  Not sure how it looks better.   Poncho seems like it'd be flapping around a lot.

at my store we just pull another off the shelf at the service desk and keep the packaging for store expensing.

I waste a few hooded sweatshirts every winter because kroger is too cheap to have heating systems down here. It is so cold some customers wont even come in.

I wouldn't spend hours working in wet clothing either.

Going in and out of rain can make you sick. It's a valid point.

Actually, you will get in trouble for being "appearing unprofessional". It happened to me for sweating in the 120f degree heat Phoenix loves to give.
