Our time clocks have been out for three days. The one by the customer service desk wouldn't work at all yesterday and the day before. The one upstairs worked yesterday and the day before but it was offline. Today, neither one worked. The one upstairs was frozen at 4:45 AM. We had to write down all our breaks, lunches, and start and end shift times. I wonder how many people took advantage of the situation?
Supposedly it's recording all our punches offline, at least here. The clock has a little floppy disk icon on it and it says Thank You - Record Stored when you clock in/out.
It's actually kind of nice to not have to bother someone to override you when you get called in early.
I'm just hoping it actually records these extra hours, and the payroll person doesn't just give us our money based on our schedule....

Our store in Georgia had that issue last week. The entire thing was wonky. So they had us signing in / out for shift-in / shift-out / break-in / break-out just like the timeclock, only on a piece of paper. It was more or less the honor system since we have so many employees and such a busy store. I'm sure that if needed the security footage could be examined but as far as I could tell as long as you put down the time you were supposed to start and then clock out no one was really going to care. We still tried to use the electronic time clocks but hell if I know if it ever took anyone's entry. It supposedly took everyone's but it gave some sort of server message and a disc icon at one point.
I was scheduled 27.75, but now i better have 36.75 hours so far with all the extra time they had to give me.
We have been writing all our times in and not punching. Me, just clock in/clock out and my lunch break. Everyone else has been writing every break in. Everyday we use about 25 pages. I just know something is going to get lost.
I fully expect Kroger to give every employee a $5 gift card as an apology. I'm actually serious about it, considering they use to give all the employees free stuff every other month then got rid of it all together for the Free Friday download.
Been having the same problem in SW. Maybe need new IT guy. Need some advice! We had an experience at Houston 392 the other day. A dept. managers wife came and confronted another dept manager,(Another Woman) concerning their behavior with eachother. There was an altercation and Law Enfoecement was called to the scene. This was three days ago. I am concerned for my safety as this has been going on for some time. My husband has advised me to keep aware of everyone around you or call in.
To everyone above:yes the clocks are storing the punches and we only have to verify/fix errors. There may be a few stores with older/newer/different time clocks that still have major issues, but most of the time there were issues, the clocks were still connected to the servers.
I work in a 150+ employee store. The payroll clerk **** a brick when he found a 3 page list of clockins just for today alone. However, this meant that he could spend 3 hours in the manager's office instead of being at the service desk. He was in a MUCH better mood.
the email sent out says kronos network is down and every employee should be writing their times down as well as clocking in and out as normal. your time & attendance person then goes through and checks. sweeps are still recorded by the system so they should be clocked in/out for.
Been out at my store in Southern WV since Sunday. As big a business as Kroger is and they can't get stuff to work or repaired in a timely manner. So sad.
In the store that i am at near the clock we have a note to punch in but also to sign the sheet for our clock in/outs and breaks. Its been this way on and off for about two weeks.

This software tracks how much time we had spent on a project for one week and will show the task history feature. It helps to adjust our break timing and accurately monitoring our In and out time. I am surprised in a way that this software has enhanced our productivity and environment.

I don't think you work for Kroger... We don't have long term projects really. You just come in and check/stock/cut/whatever for about 4 hours and then they kick you out for the day. It's not like we're engineering a marketing campaign.
