HOLY GEEZUS!
Why do people not read the rules or even browse the threads on the first page before posting?

A) Never EVER post any identifying info on this site, least of all your name and euid. That's pretty much common sense anywhere you go on the web.
B) This site is not affiliated with Kroger; nothing on here would give anyone that idea, and the opposite is pretty apparent. Thus, asking for time off here is pointless and there are multiple threads on here detailing how to do this properly.

I'm sorry.  We're going to have to deny those requests.

In fact, if you could just show up tomorrow morning at 6 am, that would be grand.

Report to the deli department for chicken duty.

Thanks,

MGT

Request denied.

Due to the needs of the business, we will need you to work 7.99 hours on the days of May 3, 4, 16, 17, and 18.. Please do understand that this is a matter of urgent needs, and as such, the union will be unable to provide any support.

You will also be asked to work on July 4, 5, and 6 since Kroger employees are NOT supposed to be able to afford leisurely activities.

We look forward to seeing you work to the best of your abilities during these days.

Best regards,

David Dillon

You have to put in your requests in to your schedule writer. Good luck getting the 4th off. At our store the manager blacked out july 4th as a day off (luckily, I ALWAYS work early that shift and I am off by 12:00 pm at the latest.) We can get busy on the 4th. What I suggest, is that, you request the day off way in advance and keep putting in reminders. Good luck.

Really? And July 4th is on a Friday. Other side of the mountains? L.O.L

As mega-kitteh said, request the days as far in advance as possible (ie. months)... the May dates may be too late to successfully request.

I have to say, when you submit the request is meaningless. All that matters is that you submit it before the deadline; anything earlier is overkill. A couple factors determine if your request is approved or denied, and when you submitted the request is not one of them.

1. Never knew that we had a month called "SUNDAY". I might be using the wrong calendar.

2. You're too late. We've scheduled you for dumpster clean up that day. You'll have a split 7.99-hour shift. That means you'll be working 3.995 hours for one shift, then come back 30 minutes later for another 3.995-hour shift. Is it against union-negotiated contracts? Most likely. But hey, needs of the business.

3. State your real EUID for proper procedure. Also list your address for further verification. For security reasons, please attach copies of your SS card, Driver License, as well as information regarding your bank account(s) and PIN.

If you don't know how to make a goddamned sign what makes you think you should be making calls on switching out end caps? I hope you aren't a grocery manager....
