The schedule writers usually start writing the schedule on Tuesday or Wednesday at our store.

You could try to remind your schedule writer or store manager that you need that day off for a school function.

Offer to make up for it another day of the week?

Unfortunately, if you get scheduled and call in, you could get a write-up...

Thats crap getting a write-up for something I can't prevent..I mean once school is out I will be available every day at any time for the summer. I just need the 18th off and the 25th off of May (for graduation) :/

I would approach your store manager and tactfully explain the situation, including all the details you told us. there is no reason you should be punished for your graduation ceremony.

I don't think you can be. Are you in High School? You can only graduate high school once. And in my opinion that supercedes ANY needs of the business HOWEVER... Talk to management first. If they are not dicks then there should be no problem. If you get written up, fight it and file a grievance.
