How to obtain an EU ID
Permalink

I just recently got employed at Kroger. I need an EU ID so I can log onto Eschedule and know when I'm scheduled to start work and so I can request some days off that I forgot to write down on the sheet that I was given at orientation. How do I go about obtaining the EU ID?

Hahaha, you can have mine, I am looking somewhere else and now only working at Kroger until I find better. My management is ass, I was basically told today "You can leave today and we will be fine with that." Yea because you'll hire some other poor schmoe who doesn't realize what has to be done and the fact that you ask so much for so little. I wonder how long the EUIDs stay in their computer system after a person leaves. If I find a better pasture tomorrow will I still be able to log in and eat the grass at greatpeople.me six weeks later? Hmmmmm....

You need to speak to the person who hired you about it.

The person that did the orientation said that I'd get one, but she didn't say when. She wasn't there on Saturday when I went in to train so I couldn't ask her about it.

Read the post before replying. That's NOT what I was asking for.

You're being lied to.

No EUID when you were training? Then how the hell did they have you do training? If they never sent you to a computer to train, they're obviously slacking off and don't give a rat's ass about you.

They had me actually train on the register since I'm working there as a cashier. They set me up with experienced cashiers and they trained me on how to use the register. The only IDs that I got were my ID to sign into the register and my ID to clock in.

Dear, that's the LAST thing you should've gotten.

Obviously they're throwing you under the bus. Cashiers are supposed to get about 8 hours of computer training (depending on how fast you skip through the reading), covering registers, sales policies, and even state laws regarding sale of alcohol, tobacco, prescription drugs, etc. Yes, there is computer training. Even meat cutters and deli people have to sit through one. You're not an exemption.

They probably think you wouldn't last long.

Don't listen to anything NutritionWhore has to say. He's just a troll :P

BTW, your EUID should be on the printout schedule at your store. Under your name.

Fix'd that for you. :P

Also, you'll never know, BagBoy. Most likely she'll say that she was given a "handwritten paper schedule using a basic Microsoft Excel grid template with only my name on it".

If that's so then she is extremely new with less than a week under her belt. In which case, asking the person who hired you would be the preferred method of obtaining the EUID.

I, simply, offered an alternative to the answers that had already been given.

I know, I know. Just making a point that whoever the hiring manager was did a sloppy job. The very first thing everyone I know that have worked here gets was their EUID, often times on a nice little card. Whether it's the first hour or first day, they always get it before they leave. Hell, I got my EUID before I even set foot in the store I was working on. I felt pretty stupid for giving them my EUID instead of my badge number to clock me in on my first day. That was the last of the stuff I got from them.

And you'd think, something as important as that EUID that lets the associate access the company's interior networks and such, that they'd cover it first.
