At my store this is the second week the schedule was generated incorrectly in my opinion. Three of us were hired on the same date, I was first to start and complete training. The other two started three days later. I was above both of the other co-workers on the schedule and got more hours than them. Now, their names appear above me and management nor my supervisors know how that was changed. How would I go about disputing that? Copies of schedules from earlier in the year would support my claim.
Under our contract if more than one person is hired on the same date, seniority is based on the last four digits of your Social Security number. The person with the lowest number has the highest seniority.

You must work in a ****ed up local.
Under those same circumstances, in my local, seniority is determined alphabetically by last name.
I was really replying to the poster before me; your contract may not follow either pattern. You need to talk to your hr manager to verify seniority, but keep in mind that the order your name appears on the schedule doesn't necessarily directly correlate to seniority. It should, but it's not guaranteed.
