I tried some Simple Truth Gouda the other day and it was awful. It wasn't bad tasting necessarily but it just tasted like generic cheese...it had no taste of gouda to it whatsoever. Are all their products this tasteless?

Most are good, not many are great, some are bad. Pretty much a standard generic brand.

I got some of the Simple Truth boneless skinless chicken breasts, and they were really really good.

Sampled a few other ST products in-store when the line was rolled out, and thought they were decent as well.  Probably just depends on what it is.

Like other Kroger branded items, they come from different sources.

I don't know but our nutrition department has been having fun keeping customers guessing with their prices.

That garlic and whatever chips. They're at $2.39 on the shelf. Less then ten feet away is one of those "10 for $10" cubicles with the same product. Only now it's like "2 for $7" this week.

I had to deal with that last week. I still don't know the price of those damn things.

Simple Truth seems to be taking over my store. It's priced a little below the name-brand greenie-weenie price, so the tree hugging customers can have their organic cake and eat it too.

Someone at my store saw we were carrying it in our deli and started telling me about how she lost 18 pounds by eating Simple Truth foods. confuse
