I was born in 1964 and I remember shopping with Mom in the good old days at the grocery store.

Actually, that looks more relaxing than what we do today.  Quevision, WIC, Double coupons and hurry, faster, more, more!

Do they still have Checker Queens?

Maybe I shouldn't have said I would hate it, because you're right it does look more relaxed, and laid back, and it really was the good old days, no Que-vision, and no rushing.

the core of the video is still true.  there are times a cashier should slow down, like handling cash.  there are times a cashier should stop and get help.  kroger doesn't suggest these things are appropriate behavior. ever.

they want everyone to scan faster, push credit cards, donations and surveys like machines.  why doesn't uscan ask for donations automatically?  or pop-up credit card ads?  it'll know there's a recall so why can't it also mention the survey?

what attendant can watch six printers at once and guess who has a survey to do based on the length of the receipt?
