I called in today because i'm throwing up. I work in the meat dept. It's law that I don't go in today. I have worked there for 8 months and this was my third call off. I don't think that's bad. But the bitch manager said "*Sigh* How's your attendance? You're gonna get written up..." I said "Well I don't think it's bad" She says "Uh huh....Get better" and hangs up. I HATE THIS PLACE.

Show up and throw up on the managers shiny shoes. If they are dumb enough to make you work, then they can also be responsible for the bad press.
I do not know the health laws for the OPs state or the medical notes needed for an excused abscence. I do know that if anyone in our store has pink eye, they will be sent home to get well.
If you can get a doctors note, present that to your boss. Doctors note trumps ANY write up. In fact, if you came to work vomiting, AND work in meat, that's a health violation. If they STILL bitch about it, calmly say "what about the health violation?"
