Does meat count as a kroger product when it comes to the employee discount?

Frozen Kroger hamburger patties yes.  T-bone steaks no.  If it is a fixed price with a fixed weight yet.   If it's random weight no.

Supposedly the discount program "can't" work on random weighted items, which is just an excuse, but that's the reason they give.
