I recently requested a few days off for a family event. I put in for the time off (4 days) in april and am supposed to be leaving for my trip next friday. The schedule just came out and it does not look like i have the first day of my unavailable days off. I gave them plenty of advance notice and my manager know that i will not be able to work these days, i have reservations and obligations to fulfill and cannot work no matter what for the four days. If she still schedules me and refuses me the time off no matter what is there anything i can do? Maybe request the unions help or is there anything in the employee guidlines that goes against what my manager is doing? I need something to help my case! Any help would be great THANK YOU!!
No one can cover it either because they are already working 40 hours or availability issues. thanks anyway
I'm sorry - have you talked to a manager?
One more thing - I can't believe they gave you 3 days off but scheduled you the first day you requested off. It's not like they didn't see the request.

I just found out about this scheduling issue tonight, and my manager is not here. On my next break i am going to see if i can get ahold of someone. I am even willing to work the friday and saturday i had originally asked off and leave for vaca a little later. I continuouly bust my ass and dont think that i am asking to much. Do you know if there is anywhere online i can find the employee handbook? thanks.
There's this weird "virus" going around. And I think you might have the symptoms. In fact I'm 99.99% sure you do, the other 1% chance is that you have another virus that requests time off that you need...

So.... 100.99%?
Damn, what scale and measurement are you using? I swear that I hope you're not doing your personal finances with that kind of calculation.

If he is experiencing 100.99% then he is probably using Que-Vision somehow. Or CAO.
