I live in Cincinnati where there is a Kroger store pretty much on every street corner. I was curious why each gas center they have the price is always different? Does any one work the fuel center & can tell me how they determine the price

The competition. Each store's fuel center competes with a different set of other gas stations. Mgmt does daily price checks, enters them on a page on kweb, and it spits out prices.
I work in a fuel center and we basically just wait for a corporate manager to drive to speedway and check their price then we change it.
Shame that the fuel centers can't change their blueprints when being constructed. Ours is such a clusterfook that we have fender-benders weekly. And complaints on our OSAT print-outs about it each time a new one is posted.
At my fuel center, its based on the street in which we are located. There is a total of 4 gas stations on the strip, we generally base our prices on all four. However, we have the power if the closest gas station goes up or down, we follow with or without management approval.
