That's because nothing HAS happened.  I am a fellow employee of the OP's, and the conditions here are absolutely disgusting.  There is no exaggeration being made here.  The mold counts are EXTREMELY high, the place smells like rotting cabbage, and occasionally human feces.  There are leaks.  There are insects.  And boy, oh BOY are there lies and deceit and general misdirection from the management.  It's such a huge mess, and the union hasn't done a thing about it.  They KNOW what's happened.  They've had people come out and inspect the place!

 

So yes, until a lawyer with a ****ing backbone helps us out, I don't see this going anywhere.  This is horrible, and makes me a very bitter employee.  But what can I do?  No one will listen to us.

A strike would be nice but this is Kroger. They'd just give them a write up and then hire someone else.

I think someone was probably hungry for attention and had a bone to pick with their manager after witnessing the total lack of action after more than a month. As far as I know there hasn't been a Kroger press release regarding moldy conditions in a Kroger fuel center.

Why does it matter if James Taggart is a black man? I think you just have a bone to pick with him and that this whole mold story is a way to justify your disgusting attitude. If you REALLY think that your tumor was caused by working at Kroger, then you should call OSHA.

I'm really beginning to think that either these people are overreacting or exaggerating, because nobody in their right mind would keep working in the conditions described.

Your mgmt isn't going to fix things. That's become obvious by how long you've been trying to remedy the situation. So either live with it or quit. Pick. Anything else is just a waste of time. There are other jobs. There are always other jobs.
