Co-manager on the warpath!

On a recent Sunday one of our co-managers was out of the store for over 5 hours while he was scheduled to be there.  He was supposed to go to church then come back and not been gone for more than a couple of hours.

Well while he was gone the district manager called several time to speak to him, and wrote him up since he was gone so long without permission.  Since he got caught he's been doing time clock audits and wrote up 13 people.   Anyone else have a similar problem.

There are some real horror stories on here about co-managers/store managers... my goodness am I ever glad nobody is like that at my store.

If that co-manager of yours is guilty of stealing time like that, he's probably guilty of other things, too, and the district manager should look into his performance at your store. If your co-manager is abusing his power, then I would hope the district manager would either give him a warning to start performing his duties adequately or face termination.

The write-ups are his way of lashing out because he's angry and doesn't want to take responsibility for his own actions. Someone like that shouldn't be in management. I've never heard of anything like that happening at my store, but for those that were written up at your store, any idea if the write ups have merit or were these people actually late or guilty of leaving early, or anything like that?

Ouch!  He probably thinks someone snitched on him so he's writing up anyone he can find.

I worked in the steel fabrication industry many years ago.  My supervisor liked to have us do special projects for himself.  One night, he was out of the building with his other girlfriend, not the main one.  A very VIP from out of state showed up unannounced that night.  He could not find the supervisor on the premisis.  The VIP did find one of the guys in the drawing room making a very intricate design pattern(very time consuming) for the supervisor.

Well, the supervisor got busted hard.  He had been with the company for over 30 years.  He was demoted to a co supervisor on days and his pay was cut.

Sounds like a real Christ like person.  I bet they aren't going to church.  They are addicted to something, drugs, porn, who knows.

It seems like if he's gonna get busted, then others WILL join him as far as he concerned. Don't like it, let me show you to the door and hold it open while you leave an head off to unemployment. That's the thin I get from this guy. He gets in trouble, so he lashes out at subordinates knowing full well they can't do a damn thing about it. We've had managers at our store the same way as well.
