I have a question about the time clock. Today I worked from 5 pm to 11 pm, and when I went to clock out it said "Thank you, ring accepted" But..when i did the inquiry it said I only had 6.25 hrs(should have had 10 after this 6 hr shift and a diff 4 hr shift on Sunday) and my last ring time was 7:16 pm(when i clocked back in from break). Does it sometimes take a bit for it to update to the inquiry or is it ripping me off hours?

I wouldn't say it's ripping you off hours. If you're missing hours, you may have messed up a punch sometime. Have your T&A clerk check for missing punches.

Pretty sure I havn't missed a punch anywhere because I do the inquiry after every punch I do except breaks, and this is the first time it's wrong.

Well, I usually mess up punches when I do an inquiry.

Do as techelite recommended.  Write down the date and hours you worked each day, including approximate break time.  It takes 4 minutes to check it if they are not super busy.

lol.  Maybe you are being charged 15 minutes everytime you do an inquiry?!

I always wait until the next day before I start my shift to do 'Inquiry'  In my store it seems the "time worked' has to be updated by someone or it takes a while to update. Sometimes server is offline or schedule not found. Always write your clock in and out time on the Communication log if a problem with the time clock. The clock records your entries even if offline but to make to sure write down your info.

That's because the clocks "disconnect" from the server it's linked to for updates on the opposite end. Next time this happens, you'll see a floppy disk symbol on the top corner of the screen. It means that it DOES record your punches, and will upload them with the server that handles payroll (Kronos?).

But if you really are uncomfortable with that funky system, do what techelite said and jot down your punches anyway. There's also times when the clock really is down, but they normally let employees know firsthand (since they can get in legal trouble for not properly paying wages).
