We got new name tags. They have our names in big bold letters. Our old ones had, "Serving you since..." on them. These new ones don't because they dont want the new people to be intimidated when they see how long how other people have worked there. I say bull$hit. I've worked there over 20 years and by by golly people are going to know it. So I'm just going to get a P-Touch and print out a label saying when I started.
No offense but I've seen the name tags that the people in at least one store in the central division wear and they look kinda.....ghetto compared to ours in Cincy division. And theirs had the "serving you since 2011" or whatever on it.
Ours might have big huge names on them but the ones I've seen in the store i've been in in Central... it looks like it was made in Arial font from 1995.

I didn't know Arial font was invented in 1995. Tell me, when was Times New Roman invented?
The reason the have your name in big bold letters is so that the corporate spies can more easily know your name so you can be fired.

Pretty much, this.
Or if a customer has a complaint or wants to rat you out for something.
Our store has already gotten away from them. New employees are getting them without the giant bold letters and start dates, and I've lost mine.. I just wear an older one, and no one gives me grief over it.
