E Schedule
Permalink

Our schedule is posted by noon on Friday, then they give 24 hours to make changes.   Eschedule has to be posted by noon on Saturday.  I noticed today on the paper copy the manager took away my 8 hours on Thursday and is making me work 4 hours on one of my scheduled days off.  I checked ecshedule again today when I go home and it has not changed to reflect the 8 hours taken away.

So which do I go by?  Newly changed paper copy or eschedule?  I just get tired of them changing the schedule whenever they feel like it. I'm pretty sure the manager changed it after the final schedule at noon on Saturday without notifying me.

Always go by the paper schedule, and if the manager did change your schedule after the cut off time, you can tell them you can't work the revised schedule.  Make sure you're right about the cut off time though.  At my store the cut off time is 6:00 PM Saturday.

Always go by the paper schedule. If you're unsure about your schedule then ask. I have the same problem at my store with them changing the schedule and not saying anything. Never EVER go by eSchedule unless it's the same as the paper schedule.

correct, go by the paper schedule. if it was changed before sunday roll with it. if it was changed after sunday ask them what's up with it. you have a right to know and they need to ask you to make changes come sunday morning..

Anyone who works the deli and bakery department knows not to rely on E-Schedule.  The department heads will let E-Schedule do its thing and then they'll go through and change things to make things more feasible.  The problem with using E-Schedule for the deli and bakery is it bases the schedule on customer count and sales.  It doesn't take into account that items have to be prepared ahead of time so they can be put out in a timely fashion.  The stupid thing was scheduling only one person, a baker, early in the morning and then nobody else until after 10:00 AM.  At my store, baking the bread takes up 100% of the baker's time in the morning.  So nothing was being put out until after 10:00 AM.  They want the tables set by that time.  Where's the logic in that?  So we started bringing in a baker at 4:00 AM, a donut person and bread bagger at 6:00 AM, and a cake decorator at 8:00AM.  Things are now getting done in a more timely manner.  We still have plenty of people to work the afternoon and evening shifts too.  E-Schedule was trying to schedule everybody in the afternoon.  That's just stupid.
