How do you operate the salvage baler in Kroger? I was shown a step by step process on how to operate it during my WBL, but forgot! :/

Thanks.

Haha. Sounds simple enough. I know this is all making me sound like an idiot. But I just have horrible memory when it comes to instructions.

And is the salvage baler for the cans and bottle specifically? Or trash as well? Forgive me!

Umm... depends on what "salvage" is over there.

Where I am, we only have one "baler", and that was for cardboard.

Reading your posts, y'all might have different kinds, but they should all operate roughly the same.

I believe our baler is for recycling cans/bottles. I may be wrong on the trash part.

 What state are you in?

I would be very suprised if you had a baler for anything besides cardboard.  This is something to ask any coworker in the building.  I wouldn't think any less of you if you asked me about the baler.

Some store managers are very picky about separating cardboard, plastic, trash and pallets.

This is the baler my store uses:

I think you are talking about the garbage compactor.  They are all different.  You need to ask someone that works there.  On ours, we get a key from the customer service or the Reciever.  Insert key, turn key to on, push key like it is the button.  yours might be different.

Yes, come to find out the baler in my store is for cardboard only. But I still have no clue if I have or need to do anything with the bottles from the bottle room, whenever I happen to be closing store. Seen a guy take a bin of them to the back of the store before...but no idea what he did with them. I'll figure it out tomorrow. Running myself in circles :P

That happens a lot when you first start. It gets a little better don't worry.

Our bailer is for cardboard. Pull put and down on the screen handle. Push button. Don't attempt to add more cardboard if it is looking full.

Tradh compactor - push key/button in. Trash only.

Bins of bottles are loaded onto the salvage truck (ask where it is) with pallet jacks.
