white shirts with vests/aprons

I really don't like them. They aren't comfortable and on top of everything we have to tuck them in. My boobs are too big for them and I'm fat so now the only thing I see when I look at my reflection is how ugly I am. I mean at least when I was comfortable I didn't feel bad about myself. Maybe this is Kroger weeding out the fatties like me. My friend who just got them yesterday at her store hates them too for the same reasons...

Why are we being made to dress up for work? We need to dress up to scan groceries and walk you out to your car? It doesn't feel right. I want to be comfortable...

No one on FE has them in my store yet but it sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. Dress shirts for the cc's while on lot duty? Seriously?

Yes, everyone working in front end has them at my store.

We have to "dress up" too. It's stupid. I thought we worked in a grocery store. NOT an office

Back when I was a bagger 30 years ago, we had to wear white dress shirts, and black tie, and black slacks, and dress shoes, with a red apron.  Sounds like Kroger is going back to the old days.

I wanna know under what store name do you all work for?

The Krogers here in my area are just blue Kroger shirts (t-shirts or the polo) and black slacks. Nothing fancy like dress shirts and what not.

The apron is only worn by the deli, bakery, and meat department. Everyone else is optional.

I'm Kroger.  We wear long sleeve white shirts during the holidays if we are sampling or having some kind of event.  They give deli, bakery and floral holiday aprons.  I wear a blue polo shirt and black pants each day with my smock or an apron.  I have to have my pockets!

I'm in Cincy division and I know that we're supposed to start having the dress shirts for the FE soon. It sounds stupid as hell.

Here we have the blue polos and the black pants. I don't wear an apron in the bakery, I wear a black smock. I love the pockets in it. :P

I can see how that's going to work.  One white shirt per year for part time?  That's going to look so tacky after a few months wear.  Are they long sleeved?  I'm not wearing long sleeves in 100 degree weather.  And I'm not buying a white bra either.  I will wear my pink or black one and if it shows through then that's just to bad!!!!  They bitch, they can issue Kroger underwear. And simple truth socks (loved that).

Here people wear the vest or the dark blue polo. Sometimes we get promo t-shirts which are fairly comfortable.
